Here is what people are saying about The McAllister Code

“Steve has crafted a tale of exploring everyday magic like few others have done. He reaches into rarely accessed areas of our mind and easily connects aspects of an evolved belief system that might surprise some readers, enjoyable yet thought provoking. At first, the marketing thingie was tough to get into, but as the story evolved, it made a lot of practical, and yes, metaphysical sense.

At times, the writing is actually quite poetic. Clearly, he is practicing what his story seeks to create in his readers, finding one’s real joy first in how they might live their life and allowing it to wash over everything else around them.

From his intuitive comments about such things as busy-ness to his alien’s referencing the silliness of Larry, Moe, and Curly, you will be entertained by a unique brand of humor, sometimes silly, sometimes deadpan, and always well-positioned inside his story development. Expect the trip to sweep you into places you’d never imagine ever seeing. More than once, he’ll leave you smiling with delight at the stops you’ll make along the way to his conclusion.

Starting with “it’s all energy” and ending with “writing the world”, he guides us into an imaginary world that’s remarkably close to the day to day reality most of us already know. Yet, in his own creative way, it’s also a parallel world somewhat akin to the classic work of “Who Moved My Cheese”. Steve leads his reader through a logical process and when done presents a rather profound message that I’m guessing a number of readers like myself have been waiting to hear.”

David O’Neal, Management Alternatives

The McAllister Code is another fine example of the talent and unbridled imagination of Steve McAllister. I look forward to seeing what’s next from this innovative author.”

Rick Hughes, Anything Arts

“A rollicking romp of a book. But don’t let the humor lull you into thinking that this is just a light-hearted trifle. Steve McAllister has come armed with ideas and he’s not afraid to use them. The McAllister Code will make you laugh, but it may very well make you look at yourself and your world in a very different way.”

Burt Kempner, Writer/Producer

The McAllister Code is more than a story. It is a journey into truth. In this fantastic story, Steve McAllister shows that we have the answers to our questions right in front of our faces. We simply need to open our eyes to the signs of truth all around us in order to put the pieces together.”

Kevin Pierce, Massage Therapy Body of Knowledge

“The planets certainly aligned, guiding Steve McAllister’s keystrokes as his ingenuity and imagination neatly merged reality with fiction! The McAllister Code is a manuscript I simply could not put down once I began the journey – flipping through the pages and through the annals of time. All five senses (and perhaps even a sixth or seventh) were enrapt in this novel as McAllister transported me through the ages and through every emotion one can imagine. Marketing the World was his appointed task by two lovable and humorous aliens. But what emerged was, simply put, an age-old belief system reminding us to love one another and understand that we are all one … and to follow our dreams and our destiny. For once we do this, we undoubtedly succeed in our business and personal relationships.”

Judy Dean, President and Executive Producer of POPS Extras!, Inc.

“A book really has to keep my attention for me to actually read the book instead of skim over it quickly. This was one of those books that you just cannot put aside. Ask my wife, I forgot about the dog having to go outside. This is precisely what people need to hear. Many folks have the same thoughts and feelings, but will not break free from their shells. I believe that once a person reads this book, it will encourage them to step beyond the self imposed comfort zones and start to develop change in their business and personal life.”

Ken Crawford, The Green Apartment Blog

“Fiction reveals truth that reality obscures.”

Here is what people are saying about The Rucksack Letters:

The Rucksack Letters is The Odyssey for the new millennium. Steve McAllister’s tale of his physical and spiritual journey across the country is stuffed with characters that run the gamut from the interesting to the absurd and with spiritual wisdoms for the everyday. His mental meanderings may help readers find the courage to ask themselves the tough metaphysical questions everyone was afraid to ask of the conventional church.”

Felicia R., Sarasota, FL

“I have thoroughly enjoyed my poetic journey with Steve. He’s not just a writer; he’s an artist with words. He did not just sightsee in
his travels, he had vision.”

Traci T., Flint, MI

“Imagine a modern day Kerouac high on love for his fellow man, guitar tucked under his arm, out to find himself in this big bad country of ours and you’ll have a taste of Steve McAllister’s adventures. As a wise man once wrote in song – ‘He’s a poet, he’s a picker and a problem when he’s stoned. He’s a walking contradiction. Partly truth and partly fiction, taking every wrong direction on his lonely way back home.’ Enjoy the ride.”

Karen L., Breckenridge, CO

“I am always anxiously awaiting the next episode in The Rucksack Letters. Steve’s escapades make my relatively unique life a
somewhat droll and humdrum existence! I would unreservedly recommend it as reading for anyone interested in any of the following: travel, adventure, survival on the road, “life in these United States”, unforgettable characters, philosophy, religion, politics, and the ramblings of a remarkably sane and well-ordered mind. Not bad for someone passed over as an ADD/ADHD kid
in and through our educational system.”

Dharma K., Cripple Creek, CO

The Rucksack Letters are experiences worth reading. The journey is pure bravery or sheer stupidity, depending on your perspective.”

Laurie A., Fort Wayne, IN

“Just knowing the author is an adventure in and of itself but once the stories start flowing, hang on to your hat! His genuinely insightful and fun commentaries on life, religion and the nature of we fellow human beings is riveting, witty and worth every savored
moment of reading.”

V K, Aptos, CA

“Terrifying…outspoken…angry… opinionated… challenging…but very insightful”
