The Realization of Abundance
“What do you mean our fears have hidden the realization of abundance?” I asked Iman. “These days it seems that we just have an abundance of things to fear.”
“Yes, you certainly have gotten yourselves quite worked up,” said Yewell.
“Well, we’ve got a lot to get worked up about,” I argued. “We’ve got a crumbling economy. Foreclosures left and right. Million of us
without healthcare. Terrorists are out to get us. We’ve got two endless wars going on. And we’ve got a political system based on arguing the extremes that is more geared toward entertainment than actual accomplishment. Wouldn’t you get worked up?”
“Yes, you do have some issues to work though,” said Iman.
“Issues?” I said. “Those are more than issues. Our whole society is on the verge of collapse!”
The two aliens looked at one another with wide eyes, blinked once, and started laughing. They actually started laughing! I bring up the breakdown of society, and they think it’s a comedy bit.
“And that’s funny why?” I said.
“You humans,” said Iman. “You take yourselves so seriously.”
“Hello!?” I said mockingly. “The decline of civilization? That’s not serious?”
“We already told you the world was going to end. Did you really think that was going to happen without a little destruction?” said Yewell.
“How else can your new world be created if your old world isn’t destroyed?” added Iman.
“So, our society really is going to self destruct?”
“We certainly hope so,” said Yewell.
“But again, not in the way you imagine,” added Iman.
“Well, how’s is going to go down?” I asked.
“Well,” started Iman, “first of all, you are going to start actually cultivating your true character. As you develop your integrity and start to fully understand your value as individuals and as a community, your concern over your economic strife will start to diminish.”
“As you do this,” Yewell continued,” and grow in maturity, you will be more able to balance your courage and your consideration. Your housing problems, your health care issues, most of you societal woes are tied into your lack of maturity.”
“So we take ourselves too serious and we’re immature?”
“You take yourselves too seriously because you’re immature,” Iman corrected. “Because you have not yet grown to the point of realizing your own values, or the value of your community, and because you have not yet learned to face difficulty while simultaneously caring for the wellbeing of others, you still live in a very psychically limited world.”
“Psychically limited?” I said.
“Exactly,” said Yewell. “Your idea of lack is all in your head. You still haven’t fully awakened to the idea that you live in a world of abundance and that all you need to solve all of the problems you’re facing are actually within your grasp. You only need to allow them to come to you.”
“Wait a minute,” I said. “This is starting to sound like that whole Law of Attraction thing that everyone’s been talking about.”
“It is,” affirmed Iman.
“But once everybody started talking about the Law of Attraction and becoming devotees of The Secret, that’s about the time this whole financial recession blew up. Why are so many people becoming adherents to the Law of Attraction and losing their homes?”
“There are a few answers to that.” said Yewell. “One, they could simply be in the transition stage. In order for whatever they are attracting to come to fruition, often something else must whither to provide the nourishment needed for it to grow. As we said before, in order to create the new, you must destroy the old.”
“Secondly,” Iman continued, “the Law of Attraction, actually the entire concept of an abundant universe, takes a little getting used to. For so long, humanity has been mired in a limited mindset. It’s going to take a little while to get used to the new way of thinking.”
“What’s to get used to?” I asked. “Don’t you just realize there’s more stuff and take it?”
“That’s part of that limited mindset we’re talking about,” said Yewell. “It’s not about just taking. Since this Law of Attraction concept has flowed into your mainstream consciousness, many of you have interpreted it only as ‘what’s in it for me?’”
“What’s wrong with that?”
“The win/win scenario,” he said, “the thought process that’s going to help to create your new world, needs to say, ‘what’s in it for us?’ The universe flowers with abundance. Trying to discover only what is available for yourself is like expecting only one petal to blossom. Only looking out for yourself is limiting the creativity of the universe.”
“Once you nurture your character to the point of being able to realize the abundance for your global community,” added Iman, “and begin fostering true relationships with all, you’ll find that you have a more full understanding of abundance, and a lot less to fear.”
