Are Artists Born or Created?
Artists are born, again and again and again. Artists are created, again and again and again. Every time a brush strokes paint onto a canvas, an artist is born. Every time words are placed to elicit meaning, an artist is born. Every time a performance is acted out, an artist is born. But it is the commitment of the artist to continually act out these births of artistry that truly creates the Artist. For the very act of creation births the person, but the commitment to continuity creates the true Artist.
