The Solitude of the Artist

At the end of the day, when all is said and done, the Artist must have Solitude. There is no suit to bring our C.A.R.D.S to plurality, and so the Artist finds himself alone, standing as the Joker and the Fool. There is no corresponding element, for the Artist at this stage begins his journey only with what he brings with him, the combined elements of Air, Fire, Earth, and Water to create his new journey of imagination.

The Joker and the Fool have no numerical attribute; their number is zero. The card represents no content and a newborn innocence. From this elation, the Artist sets out on his new path, as the Fool sets out on his, a bag of elements over his shoulder, a quizzical smile on his face, and a faith-filled step into the great beyond.

By embracing his solitude, the Artist stands for complete human potential, understanding that he must believe in himself and the journey toward creative maturity.
